BEC and MPAC Districtwide Parent Groups
The Department of Bilingual Education and World Languages support two districtwide parent groups, BEC and MPAC. These groups support access to curriculum, instruction, educators, and learning environments that are culturally responsive, inclusive, and affirming of linguistic diversity.

NYS CR Part #154 requires the District to provide communications to ELL families in their language. Schools can use translation and interpretation services to meet this need.

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given to students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by graduation.
