Request for Translation Services

Baystate Interpreters is the interpretation and translation provider for the Rochester City School District, supporting communication with students and families across the district.
Phone Interpretation (24/7)
Staff may access the 24/7 phone interpretation service by coordinating with their building or department leaders to obtain the toll-free phone number and the required building or department access code. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In-Person, Virtual Interpretation, and Document Translation
Requests for in-person interpretation, virtual meeting interpretation, and document translation must be coordinated through building or department leadership. Staff must be designated as authorized requestors in order to access the Baystate Interpreters platform through ROConnect. Authorization and access are determined by individual building and department processes.
ASL Interpretation
ASL interpretation services are coordinated by the Office of Special Education. Staff members in the RCSD can arrange services on behalf of a student, parent, or community member by following these steps:
- Download and complete an Interpretek Standard Request Form
- Email the completed form to aslrequest@rcsdk12.org
Requesters will be included in the arrangement of interpretation services with Interpretek.
If you are a student, parent, or community member, please contact your school for help with a request.
